The Sad Sap Mods with Stardew Valley Expanded

, , ,
Welcome to the Sad Sap Farm! (renamed after my unfortunate first day on the farm where I overexerted myself and made a sign instead of a chest, left with no energy I meandered around town looking for a meal and ended up getting next to nothing done, hence the sign with a sap to resemble my tears.)
This is an Expanded and heavily modded playthrough, with new mods added as we go along depending on how I feel.
I had been using animation canceling to make my tools move much faster, though just recently made a switch to a mod for this. More about animation canceling can be found on the speedrunning site here.
My animation canceling script is slightly different from the script you can use in official speedruns, in this more casual play I just bind the canceling keys to my spacebar. Using this script while doing any official speed runs will make that run invalid, just FYI. You can download it here: Wickedy’s Spacebar Script
I use a mod option for making animations faster, called Faster Animations which speeds up a lot of things like eating, cracking geodes, and general tool use. It is configurable too, if you didn’t want to use animation canceling but still go zoom. I just installed it recently and am in love! I have the tool settings changed a bit to match the speed of animation canceling.
You can start along the journey with me from the beginning here

Let’s go over the mods!

I currently have over 400 mods installed, though many of these are more “utility mods” that need to be there for other mods to run, and for them all to work together like a happy lil family. I’ve listed here all the major mods that have a visual or major difference in the game. I also use a mod manager called Stardrop to easily enable/disable my mods, and the Generic Mod Config Menu to manage mod config files.
*Remember if you like any of these mods, endorse it on Nexus! It really shows support for the mod creators.

My Mods

Yes, you got that right, I’m a modder now! I’m having fun adding in a few things here and there depending on what I have been wanting, while I learn the modding ropes. They are now available for you on Nexus too, my username is WickedyWoah
13687 1662547792 125609786
Dust Sprites in the Coop is a mod that uses BFAV to add dust sprites as an option to keep in your coop. They will bring you coal, and eventually, a custom-made item by me: coal lumps. Coal lumps are gift-wrapped and can be tossed in the charcoal kiln to break down into up to 15 coal.
Flipping Flamingos (AT) I’ve wanted to be able to make the lawn flamingos kiss for as long as I can remember, and I finally made it happen with Alternative Textures! Plus, I added some baby flamingos too. I personally love having it in-game paired with BlaDe’s Flamingo Breeding which is also installed.
Holiday Outfits I’ve created some fun holiday outfits for my recent Holiday Collab for Charity, including elf shoes, a hat, and a candy cane witch hat.

Holiday Treats I’ve made some candy canes and hot cocoa for the holiday video, you can have them too! You know the recipe automatically, and the boosts give you a sugar rush to help you go fast.
updated flowers

Floral Essences I wanted to be able to gather something from my giant flower crops, and honey wasn’t an option due to the way the tap giant crops work, so I made something new. Put flowers into a keg and in 2 days you’ll now have various Floral Essences. And if you have giant flower crops and want to tap them with Tap Giant Crops, the tappers will produce the essence.

Theater Concessions Vending Machine Get all the theater concessions from the comfort of your home

Coal Fruit Trees Toss a fruit tree sapling in a furnace to make a Coal Fruit tree that doesn’t go away after a few days. Produces “Coal Fruit”

Berry Snacks Berry snacks for salmonberry and blackberry crafting
