Socializing can be rough, especially in Pelican Town. I have wasted SO MUCH gold giving out gold star quality goat cheese to Leah, or iridium quality Cactus to Sam, but they never seem to give me anything in return. What’s to point? (Okay, so you need 100% friendship for marriage or perfection, but still…)
Certain Villagers are just a bit more worth your time early on, as some of them can send you recipes in the mail as you friend them up, and some can even send you nice little gifts in the mail that will help with getting the Community Center completed faster! I’ve made a nice reference sheet to keep track of the more worthwhile villagers, with the heart level unlocks, recipes they send, and the gifts you could receive.

You might have seen this version floating around on the internet. While I love the whole “Friends with Benefits” title, it doesn’t fit with the 1.5 version. That’s just creepy.
